The Spanish Association for Non-Destructive Testing has entrusted the organization of this Congress to the AEND Northern Committee, formed by Cantabria, the Basque Country and Navarre, territories where the implementation of the NDT is highly developed, mainly in the areas of metal, non-metallic fabrications, assemblies, etc. for automotive, aeronautical, oil, rail or aeronautical components. In addition to these areas of industrial production we cannot forget the applications of NDT in the studies and research of artistic heritage. All this activity, translated into data, means that over the last few years, 449 companies of this Committee have requested the certification of their personnel in Certiaend with a result of 2,944 people and 4,662 certified methods.

In this Congress, in addition to the presentations presenting scientific discoveries and practical applications, plenary sessions and round tables will be presented in which some of the advanced technologies will be discussed, such as Industry 4.0 and NDT, structural health monitoring, simulation and NDT, modeling or advanced training.

There will also be a large exhibition area with an exclusive area where the companies present will be able to show their developments. These activities will strengthen professional networks and personal contacts, very valuable aspects in present and future relationships.
In addition to the scientific program, there is an extensive program of social activities, including a welcome reception in the gardens of the Museum of Fine Arts and a dinner visit in the village of Laguardia in Rioja Alavesa. On the other hand, visits to Bilbao, San Sebastian and Salinas de Añana have been scheduled.
