On September 06-08 CGM participated in the Materials Testing exhibition organized by the British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing at Telford, UK.

Even though CGM delivered various NDT systems for the local market in the past, this year it was for the very first time that the company participated at this UK leading NDT event.

Run alongside BINDT’s annual conference, Materials Testing exhibition 2022 resulted to be a rather productive networking event and provided an excellent opportunity to catch up with the clients and industry colleagues from the UK and from around the globe.

We look forward to many more face-to-face interactions in the coming months!

The aerospace industry is constantly growing, and the quality standards become higher and higher.

 That is why it is of crucial importance that the NDT systems designed and manufactured meet all industry standards and regulations.

Snapshots from the 1st Conference for Non-Destructive Control in the Naval and Maritime Industry at Villa Giustiniani-Cambiaso in Genoa

Among the lecturers of the Conference, our engineer Giorgio Riolo illustrated the critical aspects relating to the magnetic particle inspection on large naval components.

The covered topics were many: from the systems’ mechanical design to the loading and unloading procedures and features, across electromagnetic power generators and the magnetizing currents correct characteristics, up to the handling systems of the pieces during the inspection phase.

A short but exhaustive journey through the waves – strictly electromagnetic – of the naval industry!

It is time for factory acceptance tests of our MAGISCOP CEMSA FOS system for magnetic particles testing of automotive components. Equipped with plate conveyor, “lift and move” loading device, manipulator and translation unit at inspection and demagnetization, it is the perfect solution for automatic inspection without contact with the operator.

Result: the exam passed with flying colors and yet another happy customer!

CGM CIGIEMME S.p.A. participated at the 34th Control – International Trade Fair for Quality Assurance, which took place at the Messe Stuttgart Exhibition Center in Stuttgart from May 3rd to May 6th 2022.

After the two-year interruption due to the pandemic, it was great to have been finally exhibiting at Control and meeting the customers and business partners from around the world in person.

It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas with professionals in the field and to share CGM vast experience in the design and manufacturing of NDT systems for aerospace industry.

Installation of “Hi-Tech” NDT system for the magnetic particle inspection of landing gears of civil aircrafts for the Far East has been successfully completed.

The maintenance center in Thailand, where the MT system is located, is enthusiastic about the newly installed equipment and has already started inspecting the first landing gears!
