ECO Water Fluor 1

General description

ECO Water Fluor 1 is a water-based fluorescent penetrant that can be eliminated with water, with very low environmental impact as it is easily degradable, being free of persistent and bioaccumulative substances. It is part of CGM’s ECO line as it does not contain petroleum derivatives or hydrocarbon mixtures. It can be used instead of any traditional water-washable fluorescent penetrant, of the same sensitivity level.

ECO Water Red

General description

ECO Water Red is a water-washable, color-contrast, UV-fluorescent penetrant with excellent resolution when detecting indications of surface discontinuities. This penetrant belongs to the CGM’s ECO line as it is a water-based product: it therefore does not contain petroleum derivatives or hydrocarbon mixtures. It thus has a low environmental impact compared to classic petroleum-based liquid penetrants. Additionally, you can use it as a fluorescent liquid under UV light to amplify indications.

CGM Christmas Lunch

As per the tradition, CGM brought together all its employees for the 2023 Christmas lunch. This event was an excellent venue to talk about the milestones achieved in 2023, a year which coincided with the Company’s 65th anniversary and which saw CGM consolidate its position as a leader in the NDT industry both in Italy and abroad, with a number of important projects completed, and numerous other projects in development. During the year we participated in a wide range of national and international trade fairs: in addition to the usual events, such as Control Trade Fair, Cofrend and ASNT, we had the pleasure of exhibiting – for the very first time – at the APCNDT in Australia and FITMA in Mexico.

However, the day was not only about recapping the year’s hightlights and talking about the company’s results: the traditional Christmas lunch was an important get-together occasion, during which every CGM employee could celebrate the end of the year together with other co-workers in the atmosphere of humor and light-heartedness –  that harmonious environment which has always been one of the distinguishing features of the  CGM’s work culture.

Thus, during the event a traditional award ceremony took place, with the distinction going to the employees for their long-standing career at CGM (10, 20, 30 years). Another event’s highlight was the year-end lottery, with a vast selection of the prizes, where the luckiest won.

A New FPI Line for Aerospace

Yet another factory test successfully completed!

A brand new fluorescent penetrant (PT/FPI) inspection line – two different penetrant sensitivities/electrostatic application – for the inspection of aeronautical components has recently passed rigorous pre-acceptance tests with flying colors.

It is always a great pleasure for us to have our customers visit CGM facility so that we can ensure they are happy and fully satisfied with the new equipment tailor made for them.

 We look forward to seeing our customer achieve their operational goals with this new FPI line, that is sure to help them improve overall efficiency and quality.

Rotrivel H2O Paste

General description

Rotrivel H2O Paste is a water-based paste developer that generates a milky white background, specific for high temperature applications, as it has no danger tags and as it is composed of inert inorganic particles suspended in water and glycols. It is therefore ideal for situations where it is not possible to use solvents. It must be diluted in water with a concentration of 30%.

Velcontrast Dry Powder

Velcontrast dry powder is a developer for fluorescent penetrant liquids. The particle size is about 5 μm, thus ensuring excellent surface coverage without risking excessive dust accumulation. In addition, it is easily removed from the surface after inspection.

Detergent H2O

General description

Detergent H2O is a water-based degreaser used for preliminary and final cleaning in liquid penetrant and magnetic particle testing. It is supplied as a concentrate to be diluted in water with a concentration of 10% to 30%. It is composed by degreasin properties and is ideal for use on surfaces that cannot be in contact with solvents.
