Magnetic particle inspection consumables, Magnetic powder
Magnetic Powder K 40
General description
K 40 is an atomized red magnetic powder used to prepare suspensions for magnetic particle inspection – wet method; it allows inspection both in white light and in UV light.
K 40 can be suspended in a petroleum (oil) based liquid carrier, such as Kerosenoil, or in water with the addition of a wetting agent (such as Ata Fluid A44 or Wetting Agent A38) to improve particle mobility, the wettability of the surface and the corrosion inhibition.
