CGM CIGIEMME S.p.A. is able to design and supply any type of magnetic equipment needed to quickly check the parts to be inspected, ensuring reliability, reproducibility of results and compliance with both inspection and safety standards. The equipment can be portable or fixed and the choice depends on the conditions under which the inspection is carried out, the type of desired magnetizing current and the purpose of the inspection. The equipment can provide a circular or longitudinal magnetic field, or both; it can be relatively small and can be transported by hand, or very large, trolley-mounted or stationary. With all types, either dry or wet magnetic particles can be used. The equipment for magnetic particle testing is as follows:

• magnetic yoke
• equipment with prods
• bench equipment

Bench equipment is undoubtedly the most complete solution, as it is able to generate all the magnetic fields (circular and longitudinal) required for control; it can also be operated in manual or automatic mode and can be tailor-made for special applications or according to specific requirements. This equipment can be used with both water and oil suspensions, with both visible and fluorescent magnetic powders. In the inspection of large parts, in order to reduce time CGM CIGIEMME S.p.A. has developed multi-directional fixed equipment, with cables of suitable length equipped at the end with special clamps.
